A Buyer Success Story

As you know, the real estate market has been crazy! There are very few homes on the market and a ton of buyers lined up to purchase. Consequently, purchasing a home can be challenging.  My buyers are having to write multiple offers on homes just to be rejected multiple times before they are able to purchase the home of their dreams.

A past client, Ed, reached out to me since his family was ready to purchase again.  They were looking to move to a better school district. We started by getting them prequalified with a bank, then we sat down and reviewed the buying process and discussed their needs. We identified homes that would work for them and began looking at homes. We looked at both townhouses and single-family homes - anything to get them into a better school district - but a single-family home was really what they desired!

Why The Swain Team?

On our first trip out, we looked at one in Churchville. This was it! It had everything they wanted. A finished basement, yard with a pool, and it was an older home with unique qualities which they loved. Of course, we looked at the home the first day it was on the market....

After thinking it over for a few hours they decided they wanted to put an offer in. We discussed how to strategically get the home. Luckily, I had just sold a home in the same price range and in Churchville the week before so I knew the market well and was able to structure the offer according to what was going on right now in the local market.  And, it also helped that I had a good relationship with the listing agent.

My plan worked! Ed and his family got the house! Next came inspections... all went well there too! Only minor items came up and the sellers were agreeable to everything Ed asked for. Ed and his family are excited and I am too because they are great people who worked hard for what they have and deserve this.

Christina Swain's Advice to You:

If you're considering selling your home, my advice would be to hire a realtor who knows the market and can strategically draw up an offer so that you can procure the home of your dreams. There is no extra cost to hire an expert realtor versus the average realtor; so why not?
