Elementary Activities and Programs

Bristol Township participates in a number of activities and programs to help better their elementary students. Some of which include the following: Participants and winners in Bucks County Reading Olympics, 100 Book Challenge, Accelerated Reader and Book-It programs, Out-of-district coaches evaluate 100 Book Challenge Program and PATTAN Program, Earobics reading program for at-risk readers, Dr. Seuss Read Across America Program, After-school Tutoring Program provided in partnership with the YWCA, Students participate in programs at the Silver Lake and Churchville Nature Centers, District band and chorus concerts, Instructional Support Team in every building, After-School Academic Success Tutoring Program in partnership with the YWCA, Highly acclaimed Summer Enrichment Program, After-school tutoring through the district remediation program, Maple Shade and Lincoln Elementary Schools participated in Governor's Literacy Institute, Maple Shade and Lincoln Elementary Schools received state grants for school-wide academic programs, Elementary teachers participate in the ATOFINA science program, and After-school science, art, and reading clubs are available.

Secondary Activities and Programs

Bristol Township participates in a number of activities and programs to help better their Secondary School students. Some of which include the following: Bristol Township is in partnership with Lehigh University, Bucks County Community College , LaSalle University , Drexel University and Temple University to provide advanced academic programs for students, Debate and Forensics students consistently qualify for national finals, Conflict Resolution, Peer Mediation and No-Bully Programs, The Cooperative Education Program has been awarded exemplary status by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Nationally recognized Learn and Serve environmental curricula and projects, Internationally recognized theatre program at Truman High School, FDR science teacher, Ms. Heim, selected as regional finalist for Pennsylvania 's Teacher of the Year Award, Truman High School 's Jazz Band has won national competitions, Big Brothers/Big Sisters Tutoring Program with Truman students, Truman students received Partnership in Education awards for community service, Middle States and Intermediate Unit evaluation of academic programs, Camp Discovery for special education students, Youth Environmental Outreach grant sponsored by Silver Lake Nature Center and Rohm and Haas, Fast Break Café operated and managed by special education students at Truman High School, and Jason Project in the middle schools.
